BUFFALO, MO -- The Lady Irish volleyball team won first place in the Buffalo High School Invitational Tournament on Saturday. This is the second consecutive year that they have claimed the title.  The girls began the day with pool play and finished first out of the five teams in their group by only losing one set to Houston. This impressive record put the Irish at the top of the bracket.

The Lady Irish moved on to beat Ash Grove in the semi-finals 25-9, 25-20.  They were challenged by a strong Bolivar team in the championship match, but won in straight sets 25-20, 25-17. This was the second tournament of the year for the Irish, and also the second championship. Their record is currently an impressive 16-0-1. Congratulations to the volleyball team for another successful tournament!  Next weekend, they will be competing in the Strafford Volleyball Tournament.
