STRAFFORD, MO -- The Lady Irish came into the Strafford Volleyfest knowing that it would be a challenging day, and wanted to prove to everyone that their impressive record of 16-1-1 was something they could live up to. The Irish did not disappoint.

The Lady Irish finished first in pool play by only losing one set. This earned them the ranking of 2nd seed going into bracket play. Because of their position in the bracket, they had a bye the first round. The semi-finals brought on a match up against a tough Clever team, but the Irish pulled out a straight set victory with a score of 25-23; 25-23. This victory took them to a Championship meeting with a very talented five-time defending champion Strafford Indians. The Lady Irish fought hard but fell to the Indians 25-12; 25-19.

The Lady Irish finished second place in the tournament and finished the day 19-2-2 for the season. Congratulations to the volleyball team as well as Coach Bates and Coach Satterfield on another successful tournament.
