Griesemer Advances to State Tennis Tournament

Sophomore Lila Griesemer, will represent Springfield Catholic at the State Tennis Tournament in October after earning a 2nd place finish at the Class 3 District 5 Championships on September 30th, 2022. Griesemer had a bye in the first round, then defeated individuals from Kickapoo High School and Ozark High School in the 14 team single elimination tournament before falling 6-4, 6-2 to Kickapoo senior Brynley Brotherton.

Caroline Nelson, Springfield Catholic junior, defeated Waynesville and Republic individuals before falling to eventual District Champion Brotherton 6-3, 6-1 to take home the bronze medal.

The top 2 in District advance to the State Individual Championships which will be held October 14th-15th, 2022 at Cooper Soccer Complex in Springfield, MO.
