Bio

Mike Foley has been an integral part of the Springfield Catholic High School Basketball program since 2017. He served as the Boys High School Assistant Coach for 3 years prior to taking over the Head Coach position for the Girls program in 2020. The SCHS Girls Basketball program has shown a rise in success over his tenure having concluded the 2021-2022 season with a 16-11 record. The 2021-2022 team also brought home a victory in the first round of Districts for the first time in 7 years.

Mike Foley began coaching in 1989 after attending college at Missouri Western State University. He has worked for a local engineering company for over 30 years, but has always enjoyed coaching sports.

Foley's first coaching job was at Seneca Junior High in 1991 and then as a High School assistant from 1993-1998. He then coached 2 years at Nixa Junior Jigh from 1999-2001.  Foley took a break from school ball from 2002-2009, but continued coaching is children's club teams. In 2010, he was hired as the Head Boys Basketball coach at New Covenant Academy.  The Boys Basketball program won 3 Conference Championships and finished 2nd in two District Championships in his 2010-2015 tenure. Both teams that defeated New Covenant in Districts went on to earn Class 2 State Championships in those seasons.

Foley and his wife, Corinna, have six children. Danielle, Nathan, Madalyn and Emma have all graduated high school. Sophia and Gracie currently attend Saint Elizabeth Anne Seaton in Springfield.
