Lady Irish Season Ends in District Semifinals

Osage Beach, MO -- The Lady Irish basketball season ended in the district semifinal game against California, 39-52.

The Pintos came out hot against the Irish, connecting on their first four shots (including three 3-pointers) and rapidly building a 7 point first quarter lead. Although Catholic kept the game within striking distance throughout much of the game, each Irish rally was met with a timely Pinto's counterpunch. Avery Ahlstrand contributed a team-high 11 points, Payton Wiseman drove home 10 and Avery Swisshelm kicked in 7 in the loss.

The 2021-2022 season was one of the Lady Irish basketball program's best in the last 5 years as the team finished with a 16-11 record, the Big 8 East Conference title and an opening round District win.
