OSAGE BEACH, MO -- The Lady Irish captured their first district win since 2017 in a heart-stopping 47-45 thriller over Buffalo last Saturday, February 26. This is the team's first win in a District tournament since 2012.

The game went back-and-forth for much of the contest with the Catholic team trailing for much of the 4th quarter. A smothering defensive performance by Katie Galligos on the Bison's primary scoring threat coupled with clutch 4th quarter free throws by Jordyn Howe and Avery Ahlstrand propelled the team to victory.

Peyton Wiseman led the Lady Irish in Scoring with 15, Galligos pitched in 11 and Avery Swisshelm and Ahlstrand each contributed 7 to the win. The Lady Irish play their second round match against the California Pintos on Tuesday, March 1 at Osage High School.
