SPRINGFIELD, MO -- The Springfield Catholic Lady Irish thumped the New Covenant Warriors 57-28 following an Irish win in the JV matchup.
Between games, fans celebrated Senior Night, recognizing the contributions of Avery Ahlstrand, Jordyn Howe, Kyleigh Pfitzner, Avery Swisshelm and Grace Wohlgemuth to the Catholic basketball program.
Swisshelm led all scorers in the varsity contest with 20 points while Ahlstrand and Pfitzner chipped in 10 and 6, respectively.
The team heads to Rogersville on February 9, trying to tame the Wildcats for a third time this season and remain unbeaten in the Big 8 Conference.
