Catholic gets big win over Ozark

OZARK, MO--Although not in the same conference or even same class, the Irish came to play.

Catholic controlled the game from the start as Hunter Scornia set the tone with the first strike to the back of the net. Skornia followed up with a corner kick finding Reece Cornwell crashing the box for the second and final goal of the game.

Ozark seemed stunned as they expected to handle the smaller class 2 team. Frustration became more evident in the second half and even more so towards the final minutes. However it was the Irish Iron curtain, again to deny a single goal, the clean sheet and win.

The match fully in Irish control first half felt a frustrated Tiger team trying to claw its way back in to no avail on the second half. This game was circled on the Catholic schedule as a true test after Ozark powered thru Preseaon ranked #1 Glendale and the always tough Branson Pirates.

The Irish move on to face Kickapoo on Saturday.
